In today’s article, we will be talking about some very cool and creative barcode designs for inspiration for all the amazing artists out there. We will also share our favorite barcode design with but before we take you on the creative ride, we would like to share facts about barcodes that the first barcode was invented by an American named Norman Joseph Woodland who also received a patent for the black & white stripes. Another interesting fact is that the first product with a barcode to be ever scanned was in a supermarket in Ohio in 1974. Packaging does not have to be boring. Imagine a packet of spaghetti having the barcode which also depicts the products as well or a shaving cream tube subtly the movement of the razor near the barcode making it look like the process of shaving. Children books have to be extremely interesting so that they don’t get bored so this book about thunderstorms has the barcode that shows rain falling from the cloud. Moving on, a bottle having the barcode that also depicts a waiter holding plates is one of our favorite barcode designs.
How about a tin can having the barcode in the shape of a can? Or a shower gel’s barcode which is also a shower? If these haven’t impressed you then allow us to share some more barcode designs with you. Our second most favorite barcode design is the barcode of a laundry detergent that has an iron which is ironing out the creases but this barcode on the back of a baking powder container that is candles and cake stand is one of the clever barcode designs which were ever designed for any product. Tissue paper roll having a barcode of tissues rolling down clearly shows the imaginativeness of the designer.
Oh, and wait – we absolutely love the teabag barcode from a tea packaging.
