Hi there everyone! How is your quarantine going? We know that you must be getting adjusted with the new life routine and now that we have finally tried our best to stay indoors and still get the work done, we are glad that things are being sorted out.
Before we begin our today’s blog, we would like to have chat with you guys. We are sure that you would know of many people (your bosses, team members, friends or family members) who were of the viewpoint that going digital does not work all the time but now things have changed and now everything is being done from home for example; many organizations formally announced that their teams can have the work done without leaving their houses. We think that, that is a wise decision as we would not be able to help our countries flatten the curve otherwise.
Working from home at first, sounds tough and it feels like you won’t be able to manage it especially when you happen to work with team members that are a little careless when it comes to proofreading or even at designing art works etc. as per the brief that came in from your clients.
Then of course, comes the issue of communicating with large groups of people at a time because there are internet connectivity issues, many people are there who want to get done & over with the meeting so that they can get back to work and it does become a hassle to keep it a smooth process of working and also delivering the tasks etc. on time. Keeping that and everything else in mind, it is really important for all the team members to first understand the issue and realize that there are some things that are in nobody’s control so, taking a step backwards might help in taking things under control.

Another thing that we have noticed is the exploitation of the office hours – sure, it is work from home, but it does not mean that your team members are supposed to be available 24/7. It is not sane to expect any such things so, we will suggest all the team leads that are reading this blog to not (indirectly) pressurize your team members to be there all the time designing art works, working on presentations, brain storming ideas for pitches etc.
And if you can afford, then do allow your people to take some time off of work and spend it on something new for example; learning a new skill or a language or let them get inspired from their favorite artists to work on their own personal grooming that includes; learning a new design technique or tool, getting acquainted with an instrument they have mentioned several times at work and things of the sort as doing this will not only encourage your teams to relax their minds and utilize the extra time in doing something fun but it will eventually increase their potentials and will help them in polishing their skills too.
Keeping the fact in mind that hundreds of people around the world have gotten some extra time on hand, we decided to share something really interesting with you guys. And as you all know how much we love sharing art works, designs, and creative thoughts of artists around the globe, we present to you various beautiful lettering for inspiration by Novia Jonathan. Although, we have shared multiple blogs with you on lettering tools & techniques that can help you giving it a start and also with your experimentation, we are going to be sharing a few more easier to follow tips and tricks that can help you getting started with lettering.
First things first; you need to understand the term to know it better. So, lettering happens to be the art of (literally) drawing letters that is unique and powerful in its own ways. By applying different techniques and bringing in styles to your letters, you can have your letters depict illustrations and we think that, that is just beautiful.
So, if you are planning to learn something new during the quarantine or if you want to polish your lettering skills, then we will encourage you all to check out these extremely beautiful lettering done by Novia and get started with your own art and illustrations.
Another thing that must be mentioned here is that, there are chances that you will have to try and retry over and over again before you hit the mark as it’s the part of the process so, do not feel discouraged and go easy on yourself while you learn to be a great letterer. We wish you all the best of luck and if you liked this blog, don’t forget to share your thoughts & feedback with us in the comments section down below!
