A Clever WordPress Logo Redesign by Jozoor

Hi there, hello there! We hope that you all are keeping safe and that our blogs are helping you create amazing and successful content, campaigns and designs as well. If you are one of our regular readers, then you would know how much we love talking about branding and then rebranding of businesses – it is not just fun to go through the journey of how a certain business started doing something and then they came up with a new goal to achieve and they wanted to show it too by revamping the way they would communicate with their audiences.

In our today’s blog, we are going to be talking about a redesign that was done for WordPress logo by a bunch of people who work at Jozoor. But before we do that, we would just like to share and explain the reasons of why a business rebrands or redesigns one of their communication points which could be a logo, their website, their tone when it comes to posting digital content on their social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat etc.

Always remember that a rebranding or a redesigning is done due to one or a number of reasons. Although, the most common of them all is the one that has to do with the internal issues or conflicts a business might have within the team members. Another thing that you must always keep in mind is that you do not have to rebrand if you and your team members cannot agree on one decision – as there are always ways of catering such differences. Because what happens is that, you do not just redesign a logo, but you also directly and indirectly make your audience ask questions like why they would do THAT or was it really necessary.

Then there are logical reasons of a business choosing to redesign a certain something for example; by redesigning your business in one way or the other, you get to attract new customers which will obviously increase your fan base and followers on your social media platforms as well. More customers will turn into more loyal customers and with the passage of time, they will spread the positive word of mouth too so, you will keep growing to become better and bigger.

Rebranding also becomes important when you are communicating with the audience with a set of art works, tone and image of your business. When you do plan to do something new about how you used to talk to them, you will grab their attention and that is the first step anyways, to get noticed in an effective way. You can and must rebrand / redesign yourself when you feel that you have started to look like your competitors that are there in the industry. Break that chain and appear as someone that stands apart in the crowd.

Rebranding also works well when the business goes through their company values and commitments and realize that the current branding does not reflect the values, promises etc. of the business and in order to make sure that you are achieving your business goals but taking care of your customers as well, your branding must be in compliance with your business goals as well as your company’s values.

In addition to that, there can also be a reason of you revisiting and revising the way you appear on the screens and conventionally in front of your audiences and that is when you, as a business are planning to expand and you are trying to grab the attention of a newer audience. Then comes the mergers, acquisitions of businesses as well and to announce the news, you need to also revise and edit your business’s points of communications as well.

Let’s talk about WordPress and their logo redesign now! In 2003, the logo of WordPress featured a super classy serif logotype and there was a thin black underline there too. So, there were three colors involved in the logo design, black, white and dark blue. Over the years, WordPress also planned the redesigns and now the logo does not have words but just two alphabets; ‘W’ and ‘P’.

Jozoor; a company working in Tanta, Egypt is behind the redesigning of WordPress’s new logo and we would like to share it with you guys that we love the fresh look. It is to the point and subtle but at the same time, very convincing as well. With using minimum colors to not use the brand identity that they have managed to create over the years, these creative minds made sure that they put the new stuff even more brilliantly and that is why it is powerful too.

We are sure that you will have a good time going through this redesign process of WordPress by Jozoor and if you find it interesting, then do it share with your friends and favorite colleagues as well.
