Hello there everybody! First of all, we would like to thank you guys for your interesting feedback and suggestions on our previous blogs and for also sharing the content with your favorite colleagues. So, we are back with an awesome blog of ours and we can bet that you all are going to love it as it focuses on typography and not some ordinary typography but breathtaking 3D typography. This is going to be a super informative content piece so we won’t take long and will dive right into it.
For those who would want to know better regarding typography in general, this one is for you: Typography is the art of arranging letters and phrases etc. in a way that it makes the written copy look appealing to the reader. Typography also makes the content legible and it grabs attention as well. If you want more and more people to engage with your content, one way of going about it is to write in a way that it catches the attention and wants to read more, wants to take an action (if it’s a Call to Action (CTA) from a business) etc.
There are five types or classifications of typography / typefaces listed down below:
- Serif
- Sans Serif
- Script
- Monospaced
- Display
Writers and typography go by the rule of using sans and sans serif typefaces for body copy or headlines that also includes logos, titles, etc. and monospaced typefaces are used for the display of code whereas; script and display typefaces are only used for headlines. It is also important to note here that not all serif and sans serif typefaces can be used to write headlines and body copy as a couple of typefaces are readable in smaller sizes while other typefaces can only become legible when they are in bigger sizes.
Ben Fearnley is an American 3D artist and also plays his role in the design and art direction for his projects. He happens to be an award-winning freelance designer who specializes in CGI, illustration, typography as well as in motion. Ben has worked on global clients such as; Apple, Nike, Nissan, Adobe, Android, VISA, Red Bull, Sony Pictures, BBC, New York Times and it feels great to see that artists ensure to expand their horizons through their skills and work.
The artworks that Ben creates for his clients and other projects are a treat to look at and you know how that happens? When you put in your heart to create something. And it also takes effort and time too so whenever you start working on something, be sure that you have to give in your all – be it a small one-time project or a big one that you are associated with for a couple of years. Great work also demands determination and in addition to that, you have got to ensure that you are educating yourself to be a better person in whatever you do.
Always remember that whatever you got to learn 10 years ago won’t be relevant after some time, so you have to train yourself with the modern education and skill set as well. There are so many artists who are still in the market because they get modern training every now and then. It can be done through various platforms like YouTube or websites of highly qualified individuals. Then there are physical classes as well that help students learn what’s modern and what’s trending. All the latest techniques help you to master what you already know and when you will do it, you will know that you have done a great favor to yourself.
Ben’s breathtaking 3D typography artworks are masterpieces and we think that even calling them masterpieces would be an understatement. All the creations are well thought and designed in a way that they appeal you visually and that anyone who looks at them in intrigued to look at more of his work.
