Okay so, before we really get into the details of Samy Halim’s amazing portraits, we would first like to talk about what pop art is for those of you who don’t know about that because it is always good to know more and better stuff when it comes to creating art, you know. 😉 Pop art is basically art that is literally based on popular / modern culture and mass media. The main reason why it is called pop art is that the basis of it is pop artists, how bold and experimental they are with their work, the interesting usage of colors and themes etc. in their work like music videos, shows that they happen to sing at and for and basically everything that they do.
Next up is a brief introduction of Samy Halim – the artist that we are featuring on our blog today so that you guys can know the man behind these amazing pop art portraits. Continue reading to know about Samy and his work style.
Samy is a French art director and illustrator who happens to have thousands of appreciations on his Behance profile and for all the right reasons. Samy owns his own studio that he founded in 2011 and specializes in 3d pack shot visualization, lettering as well as illustrations and we are more than happy to share this information with you guys that Samy has worked with famous brands like Coca Cola, Evian, Nestle Waters, P&G, Lindt, Ferrero, Coty, L’Oréal and many more. We feel that this is just the tip of the ice berg as this man is very talented and has proved himself to be creating extraordinary stuff every now and then.
We are sure that you guys must have come across many different things that are being sold under the theme of pop art including shirts, jackets, sneakers, socks, mobile covers, bags, file covers, wallpapers, caps, sweatshirts and hoodies, wallets and almost everything that you can fully customize to depict your theme. There are many cafés around the world that have the same theme with customized cups, mugs, coasters, furniture and other things too so that they can entice more and more people to visit such places and we think if you know how to do something, you must do it so that you can connect with the masses through your own art or even something that you got inspirations from.
Right now, there are many different artists around the globe whose faces, styles etc. can be used to create pop art portraits etc. for example; Beyoncé, Ye (Kanye West), Pharrell Williams, Drake, Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Kylie Jenner, Lizzy, Mila and so many more and we are so glad that Samy picked these very artists to create his pop art portraits collection which is so stunning, so unqiue and can make you stare it for a good time so that you can absorb the beauty of all of it that is there right in front of your eyes. Samy’s amazing pop art portraits are a proof that his creative juices are flowing in the right direction and that he will be creating more and more great stuff in the future too. We feel that the best thing about everything that Samy has created for this collection deserves an applause because of how subtle it is and also because it has kept the element of pop art very alive in all the portraits too. That is the beauty of it that you keep the older technique in mind and use it to create something that can appeal to the younger generations.
And guys, that is all for today! We hope that you had a great time reading the blog and that you will go through these amazing pop art portraits by Samy Halim in detail too. Before we ask you guys to share the blog with your friends etc., we would like to know which ones are your favorite pop art portraits from this collection of Samy – feel free to share that with us. It is now time to say goodbye from this blog with the promise that we will be back with something more fun next time!
