31 Mermaids in 31 Days – A Fun Drawing Challenge

Hey there everyone! We hope that you guys enjoyed reading our previous blog and that you are very excited to read this one as well but before we start talking about the 31 different mermaids in 31 days – an interesting & fun challenge, we would like to take this moment to thank each one of you for your constructive feedback, interesting suggestions and for also sharing our blogs with your favorite people as well. And we hope to receive that kind of support in the future too.

If you are one of our old and regular readers then you would know how much we love sharing art that is being created around the world and for our today’s blog, we chose this amazing artist who participated in this Mermay Challenge which is organized in the art community in the month of May and the participants are supposed to create 31 different mermaids every day. You can choose your mediums and sizes of the art but if you wish to win big, then you will have to follow all the rules being set by a certain member or organization within the community.

We really liked the idea of this art challenge but the art created by this artist is what convinced us to feature them. The most interesting thing about these tiny masterpieces is that they not only feature princesses but they look adorable in their own mermaid-y ways and we just love that about them. We will introduce you guys to the creations that Threeleaves (Username on boredpanda) has created but allow us to share a couple of things that can help you guys whenever you will plan to participate in such interesting art challenges or would want to create something for yourself, for your loved ones or even for your customers for that matter.

Okay so, first things first; know that you do not have to be an artist artist to create art. You can literally start wherever you wish to start creating art from regardless of how old you are and whatever you do professionally or even if you don’t do anything (at the moment), you can still create art. We know that a lot of people either get confused or overwhelmed when they are trying to find something new that they can work on and then they end up purchasing almost everything that they can afford thinking that the material will help. And although having the right material does help but that is not the only thing that you need, you know.

While you will be working on creating something for the first time, you will not only have to have patience but you will also have to accept that there will be days when you won’t get the results that you want and that would be okay too. Because there will be more of such days when you will be so proud of yourself and the work that you might tear up a little bit as well. So, let go of your expectations especially if you are starting just now, and give yourself some time to understand your medium, your tools for digital art creation, and your brushes, papers, colors, etc. for on-paper art creation.

Depending on your personal and professional routine, you can set the frequency of creating your art and you will see that you have started to get the hang of it and with the passage of time, it will all become such a smooth process that you might want to keep creating tiny little things every other day.

And now it is time for us to share a bunch of mermaids that the artist created for their art challenge: starting from Narwhal (that looks like a unicorn mermaid) to Pocahontas, Orca, Octopus, Zelda, Mipha, Cat mermaid, Koi, Jellyfish, Vegetarian Shark, Seahorse, Hufflepuff (our favorite), Matsuri, Ramen, Leafy Sea Dragon, May The 4th, Nautilus, Vaporeon and sooo many more, you will see how different and creatively made all of them are. We would love to know which ones are your favorite as well so share their names in our comments section.

And guys, that is for today from our end! We hope that you guys had a great time reading this blog and that you will also share it with your aspiring artist friends. Trust us when we say this, you don’t know who is looking for inspiration so, it would be a great idea if you do share it within your personal and professional circles. Also, don’t forget to share your feedback with us in the comments section and if you have any suggestions and requests, then let us know about them too. We will see you guys next time with something more fun to read.
