Hi, there everybody! We hope that you had a great time reading our previous blog and that you are super excited to know what we are about to share with you all today. But before we start doing that, we would like to take this moment to thank you for the love and support you send our way and for sharing our blogs, content ideas, and tips & tricks with the people you love and care for. We hope to receive more encouragement from you guys in the future too.

If you are one of our regular readers then you would know that we have covered multiple aspects of out-of-home (OOH) advertising and how it can help you keep your brand relevant for the people who are not present on digital and social media for that matter and even if they are, they do not bother getting to know about a business and what it’s selling/offering. In that case; you have to make sure that you are everywhere – easy to access and even easier to do business with so that people can not only enjoy your products and services but also become your loyal advocates too.

When it comes to printed material to spread a promotional message, announce a new store opening or a sale or share any informative piece of content, advertisers decide the objectives first and then they go for the material that will serve the purpose. For example; flyers, brochures, pamphlets, etc. Now, it is important for you to understand how these three work so that when you have to make a choice, you know which one to go for. Allow us to share the main differences between a brochure and a flyer in order to make an informed decision for your upcoming business announcements.

Okay so, a brochure happens to have multiple folds whereas; a flyer is a single sheet of paper that is used to promote a business message, give special discounts to valued customers or to even share a store launch as well. There are chances that you won’t be able to decide between a brochure and a flyer so, in this part of our blog, we will share information regarding the volume of information that gets shared through the above-mentioned printed materials in order to make it a lot easier for you guys.

Flyers are usually made to give brief information and get done and over with it for a certain campaign, event, etc. but when it comes to brochures, they are designed and distributed for the target audiences to understand what the message is about – in fact, it’s not just a message, it is a detailed piece of information to go through the brand itself, what they do and what their commitments towards the masses are when that’s been subtly mentioned, you get to the main product or offer that you are wanting to promote. You must use beautiful photos, and easy (to read and understand) but powerful language to describe what is it that you would like to entice your potential and existing customers with. Share all information with them so that they can go through it whenever they want to and when they have gone through it, they are confident about making a decision or two.

The size and shape of a printed material also matter when it comes to sharing a comparatively bigger volume of information like you would not want your potential customers to never pick your brochure(s) and read them. What you need to do in this regard is to be smart and creative; go for a unique shape of a brochure (see our free landscape bi-fold brochure mock-up PSD file as reference), and make the most of the space without boring your audiences. Ask yourself this question multiple times ‘Would you read it?’, and if the answer is yes, then go for it.

Also, know that typography, witty and meaningful content, as well as attractive imagery, are what you must never doubt and you will see that you have already caught their attention. And once they have your brochure in their hands, they are going to read it too, and when they will, we can bet that they will get in touch with you as soon as they can in order to avail of what you are selling / offering.

And that is all for today from our end, dear friends! We hope that you had a great time reading the blog and will also share it with your graphic designer friends and favorite colleagues. We will see you guys next time with something more fun and exciting to read and work on – until then, we would love to encourage you all to share your feedback with us in the comments section down below and let us know if you have any special requests to make too so that we can work on them and share them here in our upcoming new blogs.
