Hi there everyone! We hope that you all are having a great time reading our blogs and that you are super excited to check out what we are about to share with you today – especially if you are looking to switch to a new job or if you are someone who happens to design cover letters and resumes professionally. But before we start talking about everything that you guys need to know in order to design the best cover letters and resumes, we would like to take a moment to thank you guys for the love and support that you send our way and for always sharing our blogs, etc. with the people that you care for. And we hope to see more of that happening in the future too.
In this part of our blog, we are going to be talking about the importance of having a good cover letter and resume design so that you can impress your prospective employer before you get to meet them in person. Always remember that your resume is the first thing that will make a mark for you so make sure that you are not ignoring anything when it comes to that. If you wish to be loud, be loud; mention all the things that you have done in the past – be it a 9-5 job or a volunteer work that you are super proud of. But do that by making the most of the rules that are there. And maybe there are no such rules that you would want to follow but even then, there is a decorum that you need to maintain and we will guide you on how to do that and more in our blog today.
First things first; treat your cover letter and resume design as professional documents and never underestimate their power – no matter what. You have to keep in mind that you can never be casual about your resume design and the content itself otherwise, you won’t be able to get an interview call from the place where you want to work at. If you wish to put up a nice profile photo on the resume, you can do that too but if you do not have a profile photo that looks professional, drop the idea altogether. Because having a really casual/candid photo on your resume in which you are making a pout is not a good idea.
Similarly, your language on the cover letter and resume matter a lot. Watch out for really long sentences but also make sure that you are not going to be casually placing a couple of phrases to appear to be cool and carefree. It does not work like that for a resume because let’s be honest, anything and everything that you are sending your prospective employer(s) way is being carefully observed and know that they are not just hiring a new employee for the company but, in fact, they are getting on board a new team member who will be communicating internally and will also be a face of the organization in the public as well so they have to make sure that whoever gets hired is a full package. You can prove to them that you are indeed a full package when you are putting your best foot forward by ensuring that your resume, etc. is of top-notch quality, clearly define who you are as a professional and as a person and that you are the right fit for their company.
