Hi, you guys! We are back with yet another super useful blog of ours along with a free yet highly editable mock-up PSD file and we are sure that you will have a great time making your own unique designs. We can’t wait to share everything that you guys need to know in order to make the most of our free Arabic calligraphy / typography logo mock-up PSD file but before we do that, we would like to take a moment to thank you all for the kind support and love that you send our way and for also making sure that your friends, family members and favorite colleagues are also reading our blogs. And we would love to see more of that happening in the future.
Okay so, first things first; you guys will need to know if you have a target audience that understands Arabic text before you proceed to designing the logo design(s) but since you are here, reading this blog, we think it is safe to assume that you have already done that research and have gotten your hands on the necessary insights. So, your next step would be to understand the very basics of the Arabic language. By doing so, you won’t just be able to pick the styles of your choice but you will also be able to incorporate ligature* while creating your own logos. Here, we would like to mention that it is important that you guys only pick the styles that offer readable fonts because you would not want to make it difficult for your target audience to read the brand name, you know!?
*Ligature: As per the basic definition taken from Google, ligature means connecting two letters to form a word (such as in Urdu and Arabic writing or typography) or glyph (such as in English or French language.)
However, the best bet while creating a logo design in Arabic calligraphy / typography is to sketch first and then move to the next step which is to create the logo design. However, if you feel like going ahead with what our free Arabic calligraphy / typography logo mock-up PSD file is suggesting, then you would need to work on the rest of the design elements such as creating the color palette or incorporating other visual elements to complete the design. Also, once you have created the sketches of your logo designs, the easiest thing that you can do is to transfer them into a digital format so that you do not have to recreate anything from scratch.
If you own the business, then obviously, you do not require approvals from anybody but it would be a great idea if you got feedback from your peers, family members and other trusted individuals in your circle to see if you are on the right track. And, of course, if you are working with a brand as their creative and design partner, then you will need to have the approvals from the brand managers, etc. in order to make sure that you have created the right thing. How you are going to do that is simple; you will be required to create 3 to 4 mock-up designs that you can present during your review meetings. We also suggest that you do not create more than 4 mock-up designs because a) that will require more time for you or your team members to actually create those mock-ups and b) let’s not confuse the decision-makers by bombarding them with so much creativity, you know?!
Next, you would like to develop a presentation; a highly detailed one with the rationales included which will define the creative thought process behind creating the designs that you will be sharing with your clients, etc. So, make sure that you spend a couple of hours doing that as it will allow you to be more confident during your meeting and convince the decision-makers while you will help them visualize how the final design(s) will look.
Lastly, make sure that you create versatile design options for various platforms so that you don’t have to create the approved designs from scratch after approval.
That is all for today!
