We can’t wait to share everything that you guys need to know to understand what fabrication in art means but before doing that, we would like to take a moment to thank you all for the love and support that you send our way and for also making sure that your friends, family and favorite colleagues are reading our blogs and utilizing them for their personal and professional purposes. And we hope to see more of that happening in the future as well.

We will keep the content of this blog super simple to help you guys understand the concept of fabrication in art. Make sure that you read it till the end, alright?

Fabrication in art makes viewers curious about all that’s happening in front of their eyes. To put it simply; the process of fabricating art means creating an art piece using several techniques and materials. In other words, we can also say that fabrication in art refers to the process of transforming ideas into forms that are tangible and can be touched and felt. We must also include here that the fabrication of art usually requires more than one person and it takes place beyond a small studio space.

We are not sure if you guys visit art museums in your city but we know one thing; most of the art pieces do end up on social media platforms in one way or the other. So, allow us to ask you guys this question: have you seen something that looks so real you can’t believe your eyes? Well, that is exactly what fabrication does to an idea or a concept. Fabricators make the most of their imagination and skills to create something that stuns you in every sense of the word. We also feel that most of it has to do with the size of the art pieces as fabricated art is usually huge. Many fabrications are also created on 3D and they are called digital fabrications. You can check them out for brainstorming.

In this part of the blog, we would like to mention that there are many ways to fabricate art but what we like the most is the integration of technology into the process. Since technology has a lot to offer, many artists can utilize various techniques to transform their ideas. One more thing that can happen during the process is the artists can minimize or maximize the sizes as per their liking and other factors and then display their art pieces for the world to see. Speaking of the various techniques that can be made the most of to fabricate art, we must also mention that artists can use several materials to create their art pieces. From traditional to modern materials, anyone who lets their creative juices flow can utilize them to create something that no artist has created before.

Another thing that we like the most about fabricated art is how it lets the artists build engaging stories. Allow us to share this through an example in which you need to be creative. Okay so, imagine yourself in an art museum, like its entrance and as you proceed to enter, you start seeing tiny butterflies, however metallic to engage you right from the start. Then you walk inside the museum to explore more, guided by those butterflies that turn into a giant butterfly which is made out of colorful crepe paper and then you suddenly realize that the happy-looking butterfly is trying to escape the museum through the roof but cannot do so as a thread; wrapped around a tiny wooden box is holding its enormous wings. You would both be amazed at the creativity and feel the urge to free the butterfly from the box, right? However, you will come back home with multiple thoughts that keep you busy for a while and that’s how fabrication of art works in most cases.
