Is Figma Enough To Be A UI Designer?

Advertisment

Hi there, hello there! How are you guys doing? We hope that all is well at your end and that you guys are having a great time reading our blogs and making the most of what we happen to share here. Today, we are going to be talking about Figma, a collaborative interface design tool and if you are hearing about it for the first time, then know that you will be able to know a couple of things about it as soon as you are done reading this blog. We will formally begin the blog after a tiny moment because we need to thank you all for the support and love that you send our way and for also making sure that your friends, family and favorite colleagues are reading our blogs too. And we would love to see more of that happening in the future as well.

Okay so, first things first; let’s get to know what Figma is (and what the hype is all about, really!?). Figma has gained popularity (for all the right reasons) mainly because of the fact that it happens to be an excellent graphics editing app and there’s a very high chance that it will become the most preferred web-based app in the design world. But how? Well, allow us to tell you guys that Figma is free to use. Ah, yes! You read that right. 😀 However, there’s more to it and we will share all the things that you guys need to know about Figma so that you can use it too for your personal and commercial projects. We will also let you guys know if Figma is enough to be a UI designer (or not?!) so, make sure that you read the blog till the end. Alright?

As we have mentioned earlier as well, Figma is a collaborative tool that makes it easier for the concerned team members to collaborate while working on a project or two and the best part is that you can let your clients in for discussions on Figma as well. By doing so, it becomes a lot more feasible to be in direct contact with the very people who are the decision-makers. Being able to view the project and make changes as the teams proceed makes Figma a great tool for graphic designers, developers and more.

In addition to being a free, collaborative tool, Figma is also very, very versatile. Here’s how it helps teams get things done:

Figma allows the stakeholders to work on different tasks when it comes to wireframing, prototyping and complex design projects. Allow us to also mention that Figma can work on any browser which adds to its versatility and we are sure that people at large can utilize the app without having to face any challenges related to the operating systems.

Speaking of the versatility of Figma, we must also add that it is highly compatible with software like Jira, Slack, etc. making it easier for anyone and everyone to streamline their tasks and get the desired project results while also collaborating with the internal and external team members in real time.

Now, with all the great features that Figma has to offer, one must wonder if it is enough to be a UI designer so, we would like you guys to know that while Figma has become quite popular in your circle, it is still not enough to be a pro UI designer. You will have to master the art of many, many things related to UI design in order to be where you wish to be. In addition to that, you would also like to polish your skills, learn a couple of trending techniques and work on a bunch of projects before you can introduce yourself as a (pro) UI designer. You must also know that we are not trying to discourage you here or not want you guys to make the most of Figma but what we do want you guys to understand that is you should not solely rely on this web-based app for anything and everything UI design. Okay? 😎

That’s all for today! We hope that you not only enjoyed reading the blog but will also take some time to share your feedback with us. And while you are at it, do not forget to share the blog with your friends, family and favorite colleagues so that they can also make the most of it. We would also like you guys to let us know about your special requests so that we can start working on them and be back here with your requested content and more super soon. Until then, keep reading and sharing our blogs in your personal and professional circles.
