Okay so, when it comes to developing anything for a restaurant, it is important to know that it can take more than usual to develop something and we are not just talking about the time here. We are also talking about the efforts and skills. Why, you ask? Well, the answer to your question is really simple; restaurants are not like regular businesses. 🏨Most of the stuff gets sold mainly because of the aesthetics. The vibes should be unmatched and so on. So, what is it that you guys can do in order to make sure that you end up creating an attractive and effective identity and graphic design for a restaurant that’s about to be launched in the market? All you have to do is read the blog till the end as we are about to share a couple of tips and tricks to get you guys started!
First things first; you need to define your brand’s (read restaurant’s) identity. We suggest that you guys make a list of all the factors that can help you make informed decisions. This step will cover several things, such as the personality that your restaurant should have and the target audience. In addition to that, you would also like to cover your core values and missions so that they can be reflected in your communication with your potential customers, competitors, partners, etc. In this very step, you must also jot down a couple of names for the restaurant. You can shortlist and then finalize the one that suits your restaurant the best. And while you are at it, you must also have a slogan or tagline developed so that you can utilize it in your future communication.
Once you have covered all the aspects concerning the branding, you can move to the more practical steps such as working on the logo designs. Now, if you are our regular reader, then you must have read this here several times that you must always create a memorable logo for your business – regardless of its scale, etc. But if you are new here or are creating the identity and graphic design for the first time, then know that you need to develop a logo design that not only looks pretty but will fulfil the purpose of being a memorable logo as well.
Your next step should be to pick the colors for your branded color palette. Pick all those colors that can evoke the right kind of emotions among your target audience and then finalize 3 to 5 colors which you will continue to use for your branding and other communication everywhere. Furthermore, you would like to select the fonts and styles that can complement the branding and then you would also like to incorporate it into the logo design so that anything and everything that goes live from your end is cohesive. We can’t stress this enough but always, always make things that are connected so that your target audience does not get confused while interacting with your business.
As far as your menu cards are concerned, you need to utilize engaging elements in them. You must always go for high res. imagery so that the customers can’t resist a dish or two. Not to forget, your menus should be proofread multiple times before getting printed and served. Make sure that your menu is also available online on your social media platforms.
