Now that you guys have a clear idea of what hard and soft skills are, we would like to answer the main question, which is as follows:

Creative-Writing

Is creative writing a hard skill? Well, to give you all a short answer, we want you guys to know that creative writing is not a hard skill as such. However, it can become a hard skill if the creative writers opt to write in a language that they do not speak or understand. In addition to that, by learning and practicing editing and formatting techniques, creative writing can become a hard skill. Here, we must mention that usually, creative writers do not have to undergo training, etc., as they get to learn many things on their own and then apply the learnings to their writing as well.

Having said that, we are sure that you guys would also know that many people work on small writing gigs and maybe you are one of them too so, allow us to share a couple of tips and tricks that can help you learn technical stuff. We are sure that after reading them, you will be able to make informed decisions in the future. We would also like you guys to know that these tips will help you improve your creative writing skills so, you must read them till the end, okay? 😀

First things first; no matter how boring this feels, you guys must read often – be it books, novels, magazines, or the daily newspapers. By doing so, you won’t only be able to improve your vocabulary but will also get to explore different writing genres. Reading materials can also help you analyze how different writers develop or introduce their characters, how they set the tone of the overall thing, etc. In addition to that, you guys must set a routine in which you spare some 10 to 30 minutes to write your stuff and this could be anything but make sure that you do not go hard on yourself in the context of grammar; just go with the flow and write all the thoughts that come to your mind. However, when you finally sit to edit the drafts, then make sure that you discard all the unnecessary details and make the draft more crips and meaningful.

One more way to add more depth to your creative writing is to show what’s happening instead of just telling the audience that so and so has happened.
