Let’s talk about the traditional methods of advertising, which are low-cost yet cost-effective:

Radio Advertising: Any advertising that is done on Radio is one of the oldest methods to advertise a brand’s services or products. These media are also used to build a positive image of a personality.

Direct Mail Advertising: This method of advertising refers to businesses using pamphlets, brochures, etc., to promote their services and products. This is an effective way to reach out to new customers who live or pass by the areas in which you run a business.

Out of Home Advertising (OOH): OOH advertising is our favorite method mainly because it allows businesses to reach a bigger audience through subtle and meaningful display units. Low-cost of OOH can be A-stands, retractable banners, flags, and fabric hanging banners.

Print Advertising: Many people get confused when it comes to print advertising because they think that direct mail advertising or OOH advertising is what print advertising is. However, that’s not entirely correct. Print advertising refers to ads that are printed in newspapers and magazines. You can explore less famous magazines and newspapers to advertise the brand. They will charge 1/4 of the price or even less in comparison with famous magazines.

Display Ads / Display Advertising: This method of advertising refers to ads (usually banner ads) being put up on websites, etc. The ads feature a Call to Action (CTA) button so that people can take a desired action or two. If you would like a cheaper option, then Taboola, Reddit, richads, admaven, propeller ads, rollerads, and even Microsoft ads charge less and provide good quality traffic.

Mobile / Smartphone Advertising: This is similar to the method of Display Advertising as it lets businesses interact with their potential customers through ads that are specially designed for mobile apps.

Social Media Advertising: This method of advertising refers to interacting with potential customers through social media. Specialized content is created and then made live so that people can engage with a business in order to make the most of their offered services or products. To enhance social media advertising, businesses also partner with influencers to increase the chances of getting seen.

Podcast Advertising: There are other methods to advertise a business through digital advertising that include podcast advertising as well, in which a podcast host is supposed to mention a certain business and what it is offering. Such a kind of advertising takes place through a barter deal of the sort where all the stakeholders get to enjoy the perks of the deal itself. Not to forget, all the methods work differently for different businesses. And it is important for the concerned parties to ensure that they have done their research before they put their money on the table for one method of advertising or the other.

Having said that, we would not like to talk about the lowest-cost method of advertising. 🎯

When it comes to the traditional methods of advertising, one must be aware of the fact that it does not cover all the other avenues, even for a single campaign. On the other hand, digital advertising allows businesses to run targeted campaigns while covering multiple media and platforms. That makes digital advertising pretty cost-effective.
