Hi there, everyone! How are you guys doing today? We hope that all is well at your end and that you guys are also having a great time reading our blogs and making the most of everything that we happen to share here. In today’s blog, we are going to be talking about how you can have a non-digital life. No, wait. If you think that we will directly or indirectly suggest that you should just quit working and migrate to a place with no internet connectivity and things like that, then no, we won’t be saying any of those things. But what we do aim to talk about is how to create a balance between your work life, which we suppose, goes on with you highly dependent on the internet and your devices, and your regular, non-work life. So, we hope you are in because you will have fun reading this one! 🎉
With inflation and almost everything getting more expensive day by day, it has become more than just important to work at least two different jobs to survive in today’s world. And there are also people who work even more just so they can afford the things that they want to afford without going broke. Such kind of work requires people to be almost always online, especially if they are freelancing. And that is something that is impacting them in ways they cannot even imagine. For example, let’s start at an individual level first, when you are working all the time, you won’t be able to take care of yourself. And we know that’s something a lot of us ignore but honestly, if you are not healthy enough for yourself, how do you think you can work, you know?
Then comes the family – be it immediate or extended, you won’t be able to spend time with them. You might also miss gatherings or even dinners at home only because you are engaged with a task or two. Again, that’s not a healthy practice because you cannot imagine the moments you are missing out on. And then, of course, your social life will reduce significantly too. Now, we are not saying that working multiple jobs is bad, nor are we saying that you should quit and spend time with your friends and family instead. However, there is a need to create a balance between the things that you are focusing on.
Apart from working different jobs, more and more people have shifted their focus to content creation. All of that is done either for money, PR packages or just online presence. But this dependence on smart devices and the internet is something that is making people materialistic and superficial. Allow us to say it one more time that it is not a healthy thing to do and all of us, collectively need to do something so that we can live a non-digital life. We know that many people would be like: Ah, but it’s the internet and their devices that keep them connected with the outer world as well as with loved ones or that even we are sharing this blog digitally too. Well, no one gets bored with living a well-balanced life where you get to spend your days and nights without turning to your smartphone, iPad, etc. every 5 minutes, lol. 😜
So, what are the things that you can do in order to live a non-digital life? For starters, you guys would want to invest your money in board games, puzzles or even books for that matter – given that you read them too. Or learn a skill that you can also turn into a small business, such as framing photographs, painting, crocheting, stitching clothes, etc. In addition to that, you can also spend your time learning how to bake or cook and gradually start a business in your neighborhood for home-baked items and meals. And if you get better at it, then you can also train kids & adults to learn such stuff. All these healthy activities won’t only reduce your dependence on digital devices but will also help you generate extra income for yourself and your loved ones. 😇
That is all for today, you guys! If you liked reading the blog, then feel free to share your feedback with us in the comments down below and while you are at it, do not forget to share the blog with your friends, family and favorite colleagues so that they can also make the most of the tips that we have shared.
