Hi, there everyone! We are back with yet another amazing blog of ours and we can bet that you all are going to love it as much as we did when we were working on it. But before we start sharing everything that you guys need to know about creating pretty book titles and back designs, we would like to take a moment and thank you guys for the love and support that you send our way and for also making sure that your near and dear ones are also reading our blogs and making the most of them too. We would love to see more of that happening in the future as well.
As you guys know that we keep all our mock-up PSD files highly editable, we are sure that you are going to enjoy working on the super creative ideas that you have in mind for your own writings or for the clients that you are working with. For any and every book title and back cover design, it is very important for the designer to ensure that they give an idea to the readers about what the book has to offer which means that you have got to work on ideas that do not give away a lot of information but has enough information to keep the readers curious enough to purchase the book and read it too.
Now, how to do that like a pro is the question, right? Well, keep reading the blog till the end in order to make more creative and informed decisions in the future. Also, make sure that you trust the process and don’t rush into things (ever) so that you end up with something even better than you have imagined.
Okay so, we are very clear on the fact that the book title and its back cover need to reveal a little bit of information regarding the book and, of course, a testimonial or two at the back in order to make your potential audiences trust know that your book is worth a read. But that’s not all; you also have to give your readers an idea about the genre of the book as well as it will make their life easier because if they are interested in that genre, they won’t think twice but place an order online or get the copy from the store right then and there.

If the book has a main character or a protagonist, then you can introduce them in the book title which might require imagery of a person, a caricature too in some cases and it will entice the audiences to get to know more about the book and what is it about. And for books that do not have characters must depict the element the books talk about for example; if the book is a political one, you would want to use the flags of the countries the book talks about or you can show the world map and how the country is getting affected or is affecting other countries, etc. Then you can also use the design elements which are self-explanatory to talk about an issue and two and use them to support the overall look and feel of the book titles and its back cover.
You also need to make sure that you are setting the tone right. Don’t go overboard with the design elements and colors, etc. but do not limit yourself as well. Make the most of a relevant color palette and ensure that anything and everything that goes on the front and back has a very strong connection with the story and the content of the book. You must keep in mind that your book title is the first thing the people are going to look at and that is when you have to make sure that they are fully invested in it so much so that they purchase the book and give it a read and lastly, proofread everything multiple times before you move to the printing process.
That’s all for today! We hope that you not only had a great time reading this blog but that you will also take out some time to share your honest feedback with us in the comments section as well. And while you are at it, we would also like to encourage you all to share the blog and our free book title & back mock-up PSD file with your graphic designer friends, favorite colleagues, and students, etc. as well so that they can also work on attractive designs for their personal and commercial projects and tasks, etc. We will be back with more exciting and useful blogs and mock-up PSD files super soon, until then keep creating magical designs!
