How Do You Lead A Fun Brainstorming Session?

Hi, you guys! We hope that you all are having a nice time reading our blogs and that you are super excited to know what we are about to be sharing here today. If you are working with a creative marketing and advertising agency or if you are a designer, game developer, etc. then we are here to let you know how you can lead a fun brainstorming session. But before we do that, we would like to thank you guys for the love and support that you guys shower us with and for also making sure that your friends, family members, and favorite colleagues are not only reading our blogs but they are making the most of them too. And we would like to see more of that happening in the future as well.

When it comes to brainstorming sessions for all sorts of projects, we must keep in mind that leading such a session is different from being in one. For example; when you are leading a brainstorming session, you are the one who will initiate the conversation and then allow the participants to share their brilliant ideas. On the other hand, when you are participating in a brainstorming session, the first thing that you need to keep in mind is that you don’t go overboard and respect the decorum of the session. In addition to that, you would also have to respect the decisions made by the person who is leading the brainstorming session so that they can continue to arrange such sessions in the future.

We felt that it was important to share a couple of things that can help the individuals to be mindful of what they are doing while being in a brainstorming session and that being said, we will not talk about how you can lead one. Make sure that you read the blog till the end to make informed decisions!

A fun and successful brainstorming session is a gathering during which you can utilize visual aids to help the participants engage through the simulation of creative thinking. This can be done when you provide them with chart papers or sticky notes. In addition to that you would also get them markers in different colors so that they can write their ideas as and when the ideas come to their minds. You can also ask the participants to share their ideas through doodles and rough sketches as well as that will further encourage them to think of all things creative. We must also mention that you can get your hands on whiteboards as well for your teams so that they can work on bigger canvases to share their creative ideas with you.

Another interesting way to lead a fun brainstorming session is to allow the participants to practice “Role-storming”. What happens in that is that people will act like celebrities and other famous people who are related to the problem or idea that is being discussed and demands to be worked on. Role-storming allows the participants to be even more creative and come up with interesting ideas that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. We are sure that whatever we have shared until now is giving you great ideas too and we would like to share a couple more tips so make sure that you continue reading the blog,

We are sure that you guys must have thought about awarding your team members, etc. with written appreciation through social media posts or internal newsletters. But let’s make it even more exciting by gamifying the entire thing. The team that comes up with the most brilliant gets a cash prize or individual tokens of appreciation; you can think of the things that you would like to give to your creative team members depending on your resources.

Before we conclude the blog today, we would also like to mention that as a lead of the brainstorming sessions, it is your responsibility to hear any and every idea that comes your way. By doing so, you will boost the confidence of your teams and they will feel seen and heard.

That is all for today, everyone! If you liked reading the blog then feel free to share your valuable feedback with us in the comments section down below and while you are at it, don’t forget to share this blog with your friends, family members, and favorite colleagues as well so that they can make the most of it too.
