This Dutch artist, Leon Keer specializes in anamorphic 3D art* and questions the issues that are being faced by the masses around the world. So far, Leon has created murals in these countries:

The topics include social inequality, environmental concerns and many more issues that must be addressed by the concerned individuals.

*Anamorphic 3D Art: It is an art technique that presents a distorted image of the subject when you are seeing it from the usual viewpoint but when the image is seen from a particular angle, the distortion disappears and you can see the image in the picture as you normally would.

Leon draws on floors, ceilings, walls as well as on rooftops and everything that he has created so far is not only mindblowing but you are bound to pause for a second and see what is being said through that mural so that you can think about it and maybe, if you are capable enough, then you can take action too in order to provide some sort of resolution to the problem, you know. We are sure that you guys must have created or come across such thought-provoking art pieces in your life that can help you better a situation in an otherwise cruel world. In this part of our blog, we will be talking about the personal favorites that we have picked from Leon’s collection of murals and you can let us know if you guys liked those too.

The one with a stack of tea cups is one of our favorite murals created by Leon mainly because of how intricate everything looks in it but in addition to that, you guys need to check out how beautiful that part of the building now looks. We need to mention here that Leon usually incorporates tea cups, toys, vases, etc. into his murals and speaking of toys, we need you guys to not miss the mural that reads ‘In case of lost childhood – – – Break Glass’. This mural, very beautifully depicts almost everything a child would have when they were growing up but the hidden message in that mural could also be how not all children had the chance to grow up with the toys that are present in the painting.

We also loved seeing the storage mural as well which reads ‘Ego Storage’ and we can bet that you guys know what that means, right!? We do spend our hard-earned money on things that we might not use for a long time but to satisfy our ego in one way or the other and to show off what we have got, we not only purchase stuff but also choose to store it – knowing fully well that we could save that money for the rainy days. Isn’t that so?! Take some time to think about it!
