Hi there, hello there! We hope that you guys are having a great time reading our blogs and that our free mock-up PSD files, thoughts and ideas are helping you create magical campaigns as well. Our today’s blog is not paired with any mock-up PSD file but what it does have is something we have been wanting to talk about for quite some time and that is rebranding. We can bet that you all are going to love it so, let us get started!
First things first; for you as an individual as well as a business must know that rebranding is not something that you have to do for the sake of it. This is a huge change that you happen to bring on the table for your audiences which means that it should be well thought and designed so that you do not fail yourselves or end up disappointing your clients and customers. It is also important to note here that whatever you do as a business matters a lot because you would not want to lose your customers in one way or the other.
If you are wondering about the reasons of a business can fail its customers then continue reading as we are about to share a few of them so that you know that you are doing good or if you need to rework on any of your strategies. Businesses normally end up going back to where they started from because they do not feel like upgrading themselves – by upgrading, we do not mean that you go all fancy and stuff and start revamping your stores, websites etc. but what we mean is that you need to know what’s happening around in the world – tech-wise. What the new and relevant digital and social media platforms are that you can be on to reach maximum number of people.
In addition to that, you must also strive to bring innovation for your audiences; no matter what their age groups are, no matter where they reside etc., you should be working on things so that you can cater to the demands and needs of your existing and potential customers & clients. This is important to do regardless of the scale of your business so that your people keep faith in you and prefer you over other brands that exist.
Like we have mentioned this earlier as well, rebranding should not happen just like that. It is a process where you think through things such as the need of rebranding the business for example; do you really need to rebrand? If yes, what is that one new thing that you will incorporate into the new branding of yours that will make your customers like you more or as much as they used to like your before. These are the things that you must know before you plan out your rebranding strategy.
Also, do not rebrand because you just took over the business and you want to get rid of what the predecessors were doing or because you think you should rebrand now because it has been months / years and you feel that you are bored or you just want to change something and you feel that rebranding would do it for you; the answer is that it won’t do anything unless you have reworked on the purpose and direction of your brand.
You, as a business must also not rebrand if you are doing it because of an internal management issues because by doing so, you will be compromising on your brand’s identity and your commitments that you made when you started the business and we know that no one wants that to happen. In addition to that, you must also know that rebranding must not happen if your customers and clients feel a strong emotional attachment or recognition exists with the brand.
Now, allow us to talk about how &Walsh (a creative agency in the USA) worked on the rebranding of Plenty – an indoor vertical farming company. We would love to share what Plenty does and how their agency helped them communicate in a better way. So, Plenty happens to use less space and fewer resources to grow vegetables, fruits etc. They had two objectives in mind for the rebranding; to present the business in a crave able manner and to make the business more approachable through their branding.
&Walsh worked on the rebranding task by using a playful color palette and a custom font that gives out happy welcoming vibes and also complement the products that will be sold. It is interesting to mention it here that like any food business, the agency could use greener tones to create the rebranding, but they chose to create something unique by taking their inspirations from food categories to make it look more desirable.
It is time for us to leave you guys with Plenty’s rebranding so that you can go through it in order to let your creative juices flow. Oh, and if you liked reading our blog, do not forget to mention it in the comments section down below!
