Now, we know that packaging is designed to hold a product but it is more than just that. For example; your packaging design is the first thing that your potential customers get in touch with, yeah? So, it has to be so perfect that even if they have not heard or read any reviews about your business, they would still want to check out what you are offering.

By going for a functional packaging design, you ensure that you are not only going to store and transport your products in durable boxes, containers, bottles, pouches, etc. but you are also delivering your brand message in a way that will help you stand out too and know that is very important. Gamal Assy is a freelance art director and illustrator based in Saudia Arab who did exactly what he needed to do in order to come up with this fantastic packaging design for this saffron-infused candle brand. Interestingly; almost all types of saffron are collected in Morocco to infuse the candles which makes them super unique. Obviously, the process has to be quick for example the plucking, storing of the saffron and then utilizing it sooner than ever so that it does not lose its freshness.

We feel that the business has been thought of after careful work as saffron is known for its health-related benefits such as; improved mood, it reduces physical pain that someone might feel due to PMS, etc. But to depict that through packaging design must have taken a couple of hours too so that everything that you can see here not only has harmony in all the designs, but you want to check out the products in detail too. But there is more to the name as the business owner named the business after the name that was picked for them by their brothers. Belo, for them, means friendship, and companionship.

‘By’ literally means a business by Belo and is a true depiction of love, sincerity and friendship. The horses that you see are a result of Belo’s early days at a polo club and we are in awe of how everything was combined to share a holistic packaging design. It is more than just beautiful, the subtle green color, the imagery on the boxes and the stylish fonts will make you fall in love with the candles even before you would smell them and that’s how you do your thing – you don’t just randomly put everything out there in fact, you think it through and then ensure that you are putting up a great show.
